Liu Jingzhen, secretary of the CPC China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm) Committee and chairman of Sinopharm, met with Hugh M. Jones IV, CEO of Reed Exhibitions (RX) on April 17.

Liu outlined Sinopharm’s latest development and its strategy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). He expressed appreciation for Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE)’s resilience during the epidemic and thanked RX for its continuous support as a foreign shareholder.

He hopes that both sides can continue to leverage their respective strengths, enhance exchanges and expand the scope of cooperation. 

Hugh M. Jones IV stated that this is his first visit to China after assuming the position of RX CEO. Sinopharm and RSE are important parts of his visit. The development of Sinopharm and RSE has left a deep impression on him and he is confident about their future advancement.

He promised support and assistance to RSE in talent exchange and training as well as international development and expressed hope for more cooperation with Sinopharm in various areas.

Attendants included Yang Liu, deputy secretary of the CPC Sinopharm Committee and chairman of RSE, Chien Ee Yeh, president of RX Asia Pacific and Zheng Zhisheng, president of RX Greater China. Relevant leaders from Sinopharm and RX were also at present.
