Taiji Group Chongqing Fuling Pharmaceutical Co Ltd was the birthplace and core production facility of Chongqing Taiji Industry (Group) Co Ltd, a subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd. 

In 2022, the company achieved a remarkable output value of 2.34 billion yuan ($327.56 million), marking a substantial growth of 38 percent, and contributed 262 million yuan in taxes, reflecting a commendable increase of 42 percent. 

Recognized for its achievements, the company has garnered such accolades as a National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site, the Chongqing May Day Labor Certificate, the Chongqing AAA-level Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations, and an Advanced Collective in the Fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic in Chongqing. Furthermore, it has been acknowledged as a Benchmark Enterprise for Intelligent Manufacturing in Chongqing. 

Proactive and targeted pandemic prevention and supply guarantee

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the production lines at the company operated tirelessly, running 24 hours a day to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential medicines. Notably, it achieved a production value exceeding 221 million yuan during a 24-day lockdown in 2022, effectively meeting the demand for pandemic prevention medications. 

Unleashing potential to empower digital transformation

The company has actively embraced innovation, with 25 projects approved under the micro-innovation initiative in 2022. These initiatives not only reduced costs and increased efficiency, saving 28 million yuan, but also led to such prestigious recognitions as being designated as a Digital Workshop and an Intelligent Factory in Chongqing. 

Striving for reform, stimulating the vitality of the company

The company has been resolutely committed to deepening institutional reforms. In 2022, it pursued the restructuring of its labor, personnel and income distribution systems, resulting in a reduction of over 180 personnel in middle and lower-level management, as well as surplus logistical staff. This strategic move invigorated the enterprise with new dynamics for future development.

As part of its commitment to social responsibility, the company participates in the Chongqing Online Labor and Skills Competition annually, consistently claiming the prestigious first prize as an advanced collective.

Additionally, it has dispatched middle-level cadres to serve as first secretaries in assigned villages, contributing to rural revitalization efforts. 

The company also supports community activities, such as the 99 Public Welfare Day in Fuling district.

With green space covering an area of 130,000 square meters, featuring nearly 100 varieties of seedlings and flowers, including cherry blossoms and osmanthus, and the construction of an impressive 18,000-sq-m lotus pond, the company has been diligently cultivating itself into a garden-style factory.
