China State Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (CSIPI), a subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm), is dedicated to the research, development and evaluation of new pharmaceuticals and technologies, pharmaceutical production and sales, and the cultivation of graduate students in pharmacy.

It has also prioritized democratic management, fostering harmonious and stable labor relations to strengthen organizational cohesion and centripetal force. Recognized as a Three-Star Demonstration Unit for Harmonious Labor Relations Construction by the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission's labor union in 2022, CSIPI has established three mother-and-baby rooms and promoted initiatives such as smoke-free environments, waste sorting, and the "Clean Your Plate" campaign. 

In fulfilling its social responsibilities, CSIPI has conducted legal advocacy and general legal education, organized research integrity management training, and participated in various public welfare activities and volunteer services. 

The institute has also placed a strong emphasis on energy conservation, emission reduction and green development, collaborating with other Sinopharm subsidiaries and regional enterprises to advance joint initiatives. 

To advance its research endeavors, CSIPI has continuously strengthened the construction of its research institutional mechanisms. It has convened seminars on scientific innovation and talent development and formulated a series of policies and measures to attract and retain top talent.

Since 2007, the institute has been recognized as a Shanghai Model Unit seven consecutive times for its unwavering commitment to excellence in various aspects of its operations.
