Three exhibitions hosted by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE), a subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm), opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on May 15.

The events included the 88th National Pharmaceutical Trade Fair (PHARMCHINA), the 2024 China International Natural Health and Nutrition Expo (NHNE), and the 90th API China, an international fair for active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, packaging and equipment.

Covering an extensive area of 170,000 square meters, the three-day exhibitions attracted about 4,000 renowned domestic and international enterprises from over 20 countries and regions eager to show their high-quality products and advanced technologies.

The exhibits spanned a wide range of fields, including active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical excipients, plant extracts, pharmaceutical preparations, traditional Chinese medicine, health supplements, foods for special medical purposes, tonics, medical devices and consumables, and pharmaceutical packaging and equipment, as well as healthcare technology and services, offering a platform for product display, business matchmaking, policy exchanges and win-win development.

The events focused on the innovation of technologies, products, channels and services. Over 100 concurrent meetings, forums and activities were held that involved numerous academicians and nearly 1,000 renowned experts and scholars who discussed hot spot topics within the industry.

They facilitated full integration and efficient interactions across the entire pharmaceutical, health and nutrition industry, enhanced the linkage of innovation chains and created a network for government, industry, academia, research, funding, services and applications.

The China Pharmaceutical Industry High-Quality Development Conference, hosted by RSE in collaboration with the China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce, the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association and the China National Pharmaceutical Packaging Association, was held during the exhibitions. It brought together authoritative experts to promote interactions and exchanges across the entire lifecycle of drug development, production and distribution.

Nearly 40 companies under Sinopharm attended the events and discussed the latest policies in medical reform, health insurance and pharmaceuticals, as well as intelligent manufacturing, advanced formulations and new quality productive forces. 

Multiple thematic forums and activities were also held during the exhibitions with the joint efforts of the China National Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center, the Chinese Journal of New Drugs and Sino Pharmengin Corporation. These events covered such topics as high-quality growth of new drug research and development, innovative development and industrial integration of pediatric drugs and pharmaceutical engineering design and construction, significantly promoting industrial exchanges.
