Bai gave a brief overview of Sinopharm’s business structure and international cooperation. He noted that China and Serbia share a deep traditional friendship, and their collaboration in medicine and healthcare has long been a vital part of bilateral economic and trade relations.
As a central State-owned enterprise tasked with ensuring national pharmaceutical supply, Sinopharm is ready to leverage its full industrial-chain advantages to carry out comprehensive cooperation with Serbia in pharmaceutical research and production, medical equipment supply, infrastructure construction and public health services, Bai said. The group aims to help enhance Serbia’s overall healthcare capacity and contribute to the well-being of its people, he added.
Macut highly commended Sinopharm’s global influence and strong capabilities in the health sector. He said that Serbia attaches great importance to developing its pharmaceutical and healthcare industries and looks forward to establishing a long-term and stable partnership with Sinopharm.
He proposed deepening cooperation in clinical trials, capacity building and medical services, and suggested that both sides appoint dedicated teams to follow up on implementation and discuss detailed cooperation plans.
With Sinopharm’s strengths and the Serbian government’s policy support, he added, the partnership is expected to drive industrial upgrading and improve healthcare services in Serbia, achieving mutual benefit and shared growth.
