
The Chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm), Bai Zhongquan, met Belarusian Ambassador Aleksandr Chervyakov in Beijing on March 10 for high-level talks. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state and furthering cooperation in the medical healthcare sector.
Bai welcomed Aliaksandr and his delegation, expressing gratitude for the ambassador's long-term support of bilateral cooperation. He noted that over the years, Sinopharm and Belarusian partners had furthered cooperation in the world of medical healthcare and achieved significant progress in the supply of medical equipment, personnel training, participation in industry exhibitions and the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM.
Moving forwards, plans are for Sinopharm to leverage its full industry production and supply chain advantages to bring more high-quality products and services to Belarus, contributing to the well-being of the local people.
For his part, the ambassador spoke highly of Sinopharm's comprehensive strength and global influence in the medical and healthcare sector.
He emphasized that Belarus attached great importance to the development of its healthcare system, and the solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides pointed to a promising future.
The diplomat said Sinopharm had demonstrated professionalism and capability in past collaborations, making it a trusted partner for Belarus.
In the future, he looked forward to further cooperation in areas such as medical equipment upgrades and service support, animal healthcare, traditional medicine and talent exchanges — jointly taking healthcare collaboration between the two countries to a new level.
The meeting was attended by Irina Abelskaya, chief physician of the National Clinical Medical Center of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate; Aleksandr Podkovyrov, minister counselor of the Belarus embassy in China and other senior government officials.
Representatives from relevant departments of Sinopharm, as well as China Sinopharm International Corporation and Sinopharm National Vaccine & Serum Institute, also participated.
