On Oct 21, Bai Zhongquan, chairman of Sinopharm, met with Hugh M. Jones IV, CEO of RX, in Beijing where they attended the opening ceremony of the 94th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF Autumn) and the 93rd PharmChina.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and recent developments. They held in-depth discussions on international exhibition trends, how trade shows can bolster the healthcare industry, and plans to further expand collaboration.

Senior executives attending the meeting included Hu Jianwei, vice president of Sinopharm; Zhou Song, chairman of Sinopharm International; Li Chao, general manager of Sinopharm Reed Exhibitions; and Michael Cheng, president of RX Greater China.

Bai noted that Sinopharm and RX have built a solid foundation for fruitful cooperation over the years. By leveraging their respective industry strengths and platforms, the two sides have jointly created a portfolio of leading trade shows. He expressed hope that both companies will further draw on their global and local resources to drive the exhibition sector forward while supporting market expansion, technological innovation, and industrial upgrading across the healthcare industry.

Jones praised Sinopharm's achievements in the global healthcare sector, calling the company a key strategic partner for RX. He highlighted strong potential for deeper collaboration in internationalization and digitalization, expressing strong support for joint efforts to drive sustainable development in the healthcare industry.
